How does the 22mm illuminated push button switch work?

The 22mm illuminated push button switch has two types of product with lock and reset, and the operate mode is different.

1. The operate mode of the product with lock is that install the push button switch on the mechanical equipment, then connect the wire and the power is on, press the button, the machine starts. Press the button again, the machine power is shut down.
2. The operate mode of the reset product is that install the switch on the mechanical equipment, then connect the wire and the power is on, press the button, the machine starts. When release the push button, the push button switch is automatically reset and the machine power is off and stops working.

How to connect the wire with the 22MM waterproof illuminated push button switch？

There are four common wiring methods.

1. This is currently the most common method, connecting a lamp pin and switch’s NO pin bridge to the required working equipment. Common pin is connected to the positive pole of the power, and the negative pole is connected to the device’s load, the other LED lamp’s pin is connected to the negative pole of the power. When the switch is pressed, the LED light in the metal button switch turns on and the equipment starts to work. Release it, the device stops working and the light is off. This is the most common connection. If you need the light in the product to be always on, please refer to the second connection.

2. In this connection, the built-in LED lamp is continued to power, whether the switch is pressed on, or not, the device starts working when the switch is pressed.

3. The fourth connection method is that the LED lamp is always connected with the power, but the switch is connected to the normally closed pin. The equipment is always working when the metal push button switch is not pressed. When the push button switch is pressed, the circuit contact is disconnected and the equipment stops working.

4. The third connection is the opposite to the first connection, connect the lights and NC pin with a heel jumper bridge. When the metal push button switch is not pressed, the light is always on and the device is working. When the switch is pressed, the circuit of the device begins to break off and stop working, the lamp is also switched off from the power and goes off.
