How to use the metal push button?

 

This depends on how many pins of the metal push button, the following styles are Filn’s metal push buttons, such as 2 pins, 3 pins, 4 pins, 5 pins, 6 pins, 7 pins, 8 pins, 9 pins, 10pins.

For different number of feet, the push buttons’ functions are also different.

Before introducing how to connect the wire, you need to know the normally open and normally closed function of the switch. Normally open and normally closed, which two to use, depends on the requirements of the circuit.

For example, a simple self-locking circuit is that a button normally closed is stop, while button normally open is start. The connected state without pressing the button is called normally closed, but it is disconnected after pressing the button.

When the button is not pressed, it is disconnected, called normally on, and when the button is pressed, it is connected. So choose your feet according to your needs.

Below is the function and wiring mode of the metal button corresponding to the number of pin of the filn metal push button.

 

2 pins, it is a normally open style, you just need to connect 2 wires.

 

3 pins, it is 1 normally open and 1 normally closed without lights. We only need to connect the public pin and the function you need. The product with the word C is the public pin, NO is the normally open pin while NC is the normally closed pin.

 

4 pins, it is normally open with light. 2 are switch feet and two are lamp feet. Generally, plus and minus is indicated on the product as a lamp pin. The other two are the corresponding switch pins, switch pin and light pin are generally in the opposite position, which can be known by testing. Besides, filn’s light generally don’t distinguish positive and negative poles.

5pins, it is 1 normally open and 1 normally closed with light, its 3 pins connect normally open and normally closed. 2 pins connect lamp bead, and also don’t distinguish the positive and negative pole. For the connection mode, please refer to the pin 3.

6pins, they are divided into three cases.

 

Case 1, 22mm old style is 1 normally open and 1 normally closed with lights, still 2 pins, but 1 normally open and 1 normally closed are composed of 4 pins, and there is no public pin. Pins are usually marked the number of 1, 2, 3 , 4. Number 1 and 4 are normally open while number 2 and 3 are normally closed.

 

Case2, 1 normally open and 1 normally closed with two-color lights, there will be 3 pins representing the function of 1NO1NC. But there will also be 3 pins representing two-color lights, with one common cathode and common anode pin. The other two pin represent different lights respectively.

 

Case 3, 2 normally open and 2 normally closed without light, it is dual and similar to 3 pins. But it is with 3 more pins.

 

7 pins, 1 normally open and 1 normally closed with three-color light, it is similar to case 2, however, the light has three colors.

 

8 pins, 2 normally open and 2 normally closed with dual light.

 

9 pins, 2 normally open and 2 normally closed with dual light.

 

10pins, 2 normally open and 2 normally closed with three-color light, it is similar to cases 6, 7, 8.

 

In a word, the extra pins are just to provide more different functions, for example, two normally open and two normally closed light, single-color light, two-color light and three-color light.
