How emergency stop button works
(1) In terms of operating time, the time for a normally closed contact from closing to opening is much shorter than the time for a normally open contact from its natural state to closing.

At this time, the shortest time, even milliseconds or even microseconds, is very important.
You know, the accident happened in a short period of time. You can think about it, in such a short period of time, you may not stop the machine or open the switch by using the normally open contact, causing major machine damage or personal injury.
However, the use of normally closed contacts may stop the machine or make people get an electric shock for a shorter time, avoiding all this from happening.
(2) From the perspective of the button mechanism, we know that the emergency stop button, whether it is a normally closed or normally open contact, will bounce again if it is not pressed in place (press to the end) so that the action is effective.
When using normally open contacts, the emergency stop has no effect when the emergency stop button is not pressed in place (because the normally open contacts are not closed); it is different when using normally closed contacts, regardless of emergency stop The button is not pressed in place, only the contact is activated, and the emergency stop will work.
(3) From the perspective of its control circuit, Needless to say, the most basic function of the emergency stop button is to stop in an emergency to avoid mechanical accidents or personal accidents. However, due to the long-term operation of the machine, the line, especially the part of the emergency stop line, may cause a fault and open circuit.
At this time, if the emergency stop button uses a normally open contact, the line fault of the emergency stop part will not be found. If the emergency stop button is used then it will be too late.
When using normally closed contacts, when the emergency stop part of the circuit breaks down, it will at most cause the machine to stop, and the loss will be relatively small.
It is for the above reasons that when designing an electrical control system, the emergency stop button is best to use normally closed contacts.
(4) When the emergency stop button of an area is pressed, one pair of contacts cuts off the operation of the power equipment that needs to be stopped in the area, and the other pair of contacts enter the PLC to cut off the starting circuit of the power equipment controlled by the PLC. If this area has a *relationship with other areas, the emergency stop state should also be transmitted to other areas to take corresponding control measures and give an alarm on the upper computer.
Emergency stop button installation method and removal method
Insert the operating head into the mounting hole from the front of the panel, screw it into the middle seat behind the panel, and then evenly tighten the set screws at both ends (do not use excessive force, the maximum torque is 25N-cm), if the panel is made of plastic or other non-metal, It can be installed after mounting a mounting plate on the back of the panel.
If the diameter of the mounting hole is 25mm, it can be installed after mounting a φ25 mounting plate on the back of the panel.
A type button, the switch element can be installed together with the middle seat. B type button, the switch element should be removed first, and then the middle seat.
Note: If you find that the button is stuck after installation, you should adjust the two set screws of the middle seat to keep the tightness of the same word, and then you can remove it.
The switch element can be directly buckled, and the symbol piece on the head can be installed directly at the front (usually installed at the factory)
Note: After installation, check whether the buckle of the switch element is fully buckled in.
Remove the switching element or the voltage regulator: use a screwdriver to lift the buckle of the buckle installation system, and you can easily and easily remove the tightly installed components.
